What is an EAP?

Personal well being is crucial for overall productivity and happiness, and in a 2023 study, researches found that 78% of Canadian employees surveyed say they felt burnt out in their careers at some point. This alarming trend has prompted some employers to evaluate their group benefits and introduce new and innovative options to help their employers and their mental health.

EAP stands for Employee Assistance Program, and it is a workplace benefit designed to support the overall well-being and mental health of employees. An EAP typically offers confidential counseling, resources, and support services to assist employees and their immediate family members in managing personal or work-related challenges that may impact their emotional well-being, productivity, and overall quality of life.

By offering an EAP, employers demonstrate their commitment to supporting the holistic well-being of their employees. EAPs can contribute to increased employee satisfaction, improved work performance, and a healthier work environment overall. RWAM, in collaboration with trusted carrier partners, provides comprehensive EAP services to assist organizations in fostering a supportive and resilient workforce.
